Hard to believe it'll be 5 weeks already since Umiko came into our world. Time flies! I can only stop time with my camera so I'm planning to stop it many, many more times.
now i'm really behind on work and blogging all the engagement sessions and weddings but they'll be posted as I play catch-up in between the bottle feedings and diaper changes :)

After what seemed like the longest pregnancy ever, our little girl "Umiko" was born on 8.6.09 @ 13:55. Mom and new baby are doing great :) Everyone at Cedars Sinai Med Center have been so nice. Our doctor, Dr. Chin, was at a Dodger game when the water broke. He came straight from the game to the hospital wearing his Orel Hershiser Dodger jersey. I wonder if he'd mind if I posted photos of him in the jersey.
My plan during delivery was to take photos from afar. That didn't last long though. Once the major pushing began, I got yelled at by the nurse, "hey photographer, daddy! Put it down and grab a leg!" Grabbed my wife's leg while the nurse held her other leg. Almost two hours of pushing later, Umiko came out wide eyed and screaming. Best scream I've ever heard.

Many things has changed around it, but the Farmer's Market is pretty close to how I remember it when I used to go as a youngster.

Visited the Planes of Fame Museum after the small wedding last weekend. Alex, little son of the newlyweds, had a toy airplane which reminded me of the museum nearby. Thanks Alex! :)
Lots of fully restored planes on display and hangars are open so visitors can see some of the restoration process also. If you're really adventurous, some of the planes are available for flights to the public.

Behind on blogging, but had to show off the ultrasound image from today. I always thought it was kinda weird for parents wanting to show off photos of theirs kids so much but now I'm doing the same exact thing! Yup, looks like I'm going to be one of those parents....and then some :)

It was too bad I couldn't be at their recent wedding but we still had lots of fun shooting their photos in their western as well as traditional Vietnamese outfits last month.
The first day which honored Sanjay's Indian heritage was a blast!!! Could it get any better? Heck yeah it can! With day two of course :)

Delgadillo Cellars had their debut release party in Napa this past weekend. This family introduced me to fine wine 5 years ago and it's been fun learning about all the little nuances. Mustard flowers were plentiful but no grapes yet. Looking forward to going back in Oct to photograph the harvest.
